‘I Lose, You Lose’ is the new track from Bristol-based indie band Make Friends. At its core, the single is a warm piece of indie-pop, defined by an exploratory guitar line and an exponentially building chorus melody that is rife with tension and release. By the end, it feels frantic and explosive, with synth lines buzzing around the shuffling drums, and electric guitars holding the layers of harmonised vocals in place. “The lyrics take you on a journey through anxiety and realisation that actually the person you're with, wasn't all you thought they were,” they say. “Alas, you found solace in this breakup.
